Craig Insurance Agency
The Craig Insurance Agency is founded by Dewees Craig.
1945
Schoenheit Insurance Agency
Augustus A. Schoenheit purchases The Craig Insurance Agency and changes the identity to the Schoenheit Insurance Agency.
1948
Schoenheit & Moore Insurance Agency
Augustus Schoenheit deceased and his daughter Helen Moore kept business going under name Schoenheit & Moore Insurance Agency. The firm is one of the first woman owned insurance agencies in California History.

Mark F. Hopkins founded Mark F. Hopkins & Company.

Helen Moore’s husband Robert joins Schoenheit & Moore Insurance Agency and they update the name to Moore & Schoenheit Insurance Agency.

Richard Rush joins Moore & Schoenheit Insurance Agency and the firm becomes Moore-Rush Insurance Agency.

Ed Mathias, an officer of the former Mark F. Hopkins and Company purchases portion of Hopkins book of business from Alexander and Alexander and forms H. E. (Ed) Mathias & Company Insurance Brokers.

Robert B. Suhr and Company Insurance Brokers Inc. acquires H. E. (Ed) Mathias and Company of Saratoga, California and changes it’s name to Suhr/Mathias Insurance Services.
1998
Suhr/Mathias Insurance Services acquires Moore-Rush and Wood Insurance Services of Santa Clara, California and Stivers Insurance Service of Campbell, California.
1999
Suhr Risk Services of California Insurance Brokers, Inc.
Suhr/Mathias Insurance Services updates its identity to Suhr Risk Services of California Insurance Brokers, Inc.
2001
Suhr Risk Services of California merges with Griffiths Insurance Agency. The combined organization retains the Suhr Risk Services identity.
2009
Suhr Risk Services consolidates three branch offices and opens new corporate headquarters in San Jose, California.
2016
Acrisure
Suhr Risk Services joins Acrisure as an agency partner. The combined resources place the organization among the top 10 largest independent brokerages in the country.
